A threat has been growing, one that is so strong that it'll take all the powers from the higher beings to deal with it. The gods tried to do anything they could, hoping that if their divided strength wouldn't be enough to take care of it, then the people of the would would do. Such faith quickly proved to be futile, with even with their assistance it became clear the natives wouldn't be enough. Now, they have reached their last resort: drawing from other worlds.
You have been brought to a strange new world with only the sound of reality tearing around you and a warning, "Prepare... you must prepare..."
The world is growing unstable, the earthquakes that have been terrorizing people for the past nearly a thousand years have only become worse and worse in the past few hundreds. Few can remember going for more than a month without one happening now, and many worry if they will ever finally come to a stop. So few of the towns that were once found around the world remain, with many choosing to never settle down into a singular location and choosing to drift from place to place in hopes of remaining in safety. The war in Varis seems never ending, and others threaten to spark elsewhere, especially as there seems to be a rise in recent years of practically unexplained tension and paranoia running through many people of the world. It has even begun to spark between even the most peaceful of people, yet those that keep their level heads keep things as tame as they can. But now it's all about to change, interrupted by suddenly being flooded with those drawn from other worlds. Will it change things for the better?
All characters are brought from another world, perhaps a moment before their heart stopped beating or maybe even just from falling asleep in the wrong place at the wrong time, though all of those who were awake during it reported the sound of sharp tearing and dizzying lights swirling around them before they awoke in the world. While you may know, they don't know how, they don't know why, all they've been told is that they must prepare. But, this leaves the question of, where did they come from? Your background choice may act as a groundwork for where they come from, but what is their backstory? That is fully up for you to decide, with a few key limitations:
Unsure of what sort of backstory you'd like? You can always ask around in the Discord! Maybe even find or request a connected backstory in our Character Relations channel. Additionally, some find it easier to think of a character's backstory after you've figured out their build. If you think so, or you have already figured out your character's backstory, see information about character creation below!
Ready to make your character sheet? Great, there are some crucial things that you need to keep in mind while doing so:
Still unsure about how you would like to build your character, want to discuss any mechanics that you want to test out, or have anything else that you want to talk about for your character? Come chat in our Character Discussions channel on discord. While you may use any applications that doesn't require us to download the sheet to view it, see the section below starting gear to see the suggested places to make your sheets.

Domain Alignment: (As our main campaign may interact so closely with the gods, you must align yourself with a certain domain. This doesn't meant your character is required to worship a god. If you are uncertain which would be best for your character, provide a brief personality blurb in your ticket and ask for help.)
Backstory: Two paragraphs, no more no less.
If you used our D&DBeyond Campaigns, remove your character from it upon it being approved, or it'll be manually removed when the campaign is checked once a month.
For your starting gear, you get 100 tokens that you may spend in the list below. Any unspent tokens will not benefit you otherwise.

D&D Beyond is by far the means of character sheet creation that I would suggest. To avoid non-players from using my sourcebooks, create a character creation ticket in the discord to use all our approves sources for free! Cleared once a month.
One option of the Google Sheets, make a duplicate of the original to use. Be sure to use the right version of the races. Compatible with Artificer, but non-compatible with Bloodhunter.
A second option of the Google Sheets, make a duplicate of the original to use. Be sure to use the right version of the races. Non-compatible with Bloodhunter or Artificer.

The biggest part of this server is going out and joining roleplay, allowing you to build on your character's personality and make connections with others. This can be as simple as a short casual chat while selling something to long, drawn-out conversations over drinks or a meal.

Events fall under anything that is ran by the staff team, both Lore and DM teams. It can include things like NPCs giving information to players, dungeons being ran, and fights taking places around town thar draws people in. These don't always have to be combat, and creative ways of thinking are always encouraged.

Around the map are NPCs placed that may offer a variety of different quests for different rewards. Some of these may be repeatable, though the majority of them will be one-time completions. Some of these quests may provide useful information, so it may pay to pay attention to what is said.

For those of you who don't feel like roleplaying or spending their time exploring the world, perhaps crafting and gathering resources may interest you. Want to be the best smith around? Create potions to help everyone? Then this is the task for you. See the crafting page to see what all you can create.
